Leadership

Pastor Cooper Jensen

Lead Pastor

Pastor Cooper Jensen is Harvest Foursquare’s new lead pastor as of October 2, 2022. Pastor Cooper and his family have recently moved to Shelton from Cheney Wa (near Spokane) where they spent the past 7yrs in ministry at Cheney Faith Center in various roles and capacities. Both he and his wife love doing ministry together and seeing Jesus, through His Spirit, bring restoration to people and the communities around them as they receive and respond to the hope of the Gospel.

Here is a note from Pastor Cooper:

I was raised in Spokane WA primarily my whole life and am a northwest guy through and through. I have enjoyed hunting and fishing since I was a little kid, and look forward to passing down those traditions to my kids as well. I’m big into music, having played in various bands and church groups. I enjoy watching football on a Sunday night, especially if the Vikings are playing. I am a connoisseur of Mac and Cheese and enjoy a great cup of coffee at my house, on the boat, or with friends at the local shop.

I graduated with a teaching degree from Eastern Washington University and taught in public schools for a few years as I honed in my call of full-time ministry at North Church in Spokane Washington. After realizing my call to vocational ministry I became a youth pastor and jack-of-all-trades ministry leader for the next 5 years. After that stint, I transitioned to Cheney Faith Center as the associate pastor for the past 7 years doing ministry in a small college town context.

I just finished my 2nd year of my Master’s program through Western Seminary, and hope to finish in the next 3 years with a graduate degree in Biblical Studies.

Church Council

Foursquare churches are pastoral led, meaning the lead pastor has the freedom to lead how they sense God moving, with accountability to our denominations district supervisors. However, each church has an elected church council that oversees all financial operations and property acquisitions to be in the best interest of the church body. Each council member serves a 2 year term.

The current elected (2023) church council is as follows:

Kirk Giberson

Steve Ercenbrack

Barb Stark

Patti Woods

Christopher Wilson

Bob Woods
